Following my Davinci treatment the next hurdle was the first psa test and yesterday was the meeting with my urologist. His report was good, less than 0.01. He has scheduled 4 monthly follow up psa tests with my GP and 12 month meeting with himself.
My recovery has been straight forward, 1 day in hospital, 6 days to catheter removal, incontinence 2 to 3 pads per day for 2 weeks, 1 pad per day for 6 weeks. Now a pad on days out otherwise no need for one.
Only minimal stress leaks. ED slowly recovering.

Second test and came back <0.01 so far so good.
No longer using pads. ED improving.

Unrelated to my PC but today I underwent a colonoscopy at my Gp's request. He believes everyone should be checked after the age of 60. I have been trying to hold off due to the PC problem but today I went ahead
and I'm glad I did. It appears I have two small polyps which have been removed. Again just like PC I had no symptoms so I wonder if others on this site would benefit from this simple procedure? Just glad I found out as polyps may proceed to cancer over time.
My advice get checked!

I have just had my 12 month recall to see the urologist who operated on me last year. I am pleased to say he is happy with my progress and has put me on 6 monthly psa checks with my GP. So far all the psa tests have been below 0.01. If this continues for 2 more years I will then be on annual checks.
My bladder control is about 100% back to normal, although I still need to do kegel exercises for the rest of my life.
ED has greatly improved and I feel about 90% back to normal.
I am continuing to take Cialis 5 mg each day as I feel this is helping me.

Another 6 months has passed and my psa has been checked again. It came back as less than 0.01. so all is going well.
I have also stopped taking Cialis as I no longer feel the need. I feel about 95 % back to normal.

Another PSA test completed and a good report. Undetectable 0.01. Time is moving along and I am feeling very happy with the choice to under go the robotic surgery. I am about 99% back to normal after two and half years.
